    Tekkit LAN server

    Hi Everyone

Can i first apologize if i have posted this thread in the wrong place as you can tell by my profile i am new too the forums, and guidance in this area would be gratefully accepted.

The situation I am stuck in is:
I am currently playing and enjoying Tekkit on Multiplayer and in single player, although I and my brother would love too be able too play together. we have two computers with the capability too play Tekkit although as we only have one account I have no idea if it is possible for us too play.

I then remember that I used too play other games over a LAN connection. Which then got me wondering if there was any way of playing Tekkit over a LAN connection with only one account? I have scoured the internet on many occasions and it only came up with a few cryptic answers. so hopefully somebody might be able too give an answer too my dilemma

    Thank you in Advance

Moved this into the Technic Pack help section for you, so hopefully you will get some answers.

If you have access to a server and the server files then you can open up the file called 'server' it is a properties file, you have to open it with notepad, word ect. Go to the thing that says:

    online-mode=true
    and change it to
    online-mode=false

Then if one of you logs in as the account and the other logs in as a 'free account' and plays on 'offline mode' then you can both join.

If this got too complicated then please tell me and I'll give it a full explanation.

    Thanks,

does that require that one player is online while two people play?

If you change the server properties how I explained you can play with as any accounts as you want and they can all be free.
