"Unable to authenticate account with minecraft.net" error with tekkit launcher

I've been having a problem where whenever I try to log into the Tekkit Launcher, it comes up with an "Unable to authenticate account with minecraft.net" error.

I've googled it and know I'm not the only person to have experienced this issue, but I couldn't find any solutions. Last time, apparently minecraft.net was down, however, I am currently able to log into the website and regular minecraft fine. My minecraft account was created today. Can anyone share a possible fix for this?

You are not alone, sir! I had this problem a couple days ago. I disconnected and then reconnected to my WiFi and it was fixed. I can only assume you've already tried that... But if not, try that and if it doesn't work write back. I would like to help.
