    [Amnesia] Minecraft: The Dark Descent

You awake in the dark halls of the Prussian Brennenburg Castle with little to no memory about yourself or your past. All you can remember is that a Shadow is after you.

Minecraft: The Dark Descent is an Adventure/Custom map which is a near-complete recreation of the popular game by Frictional Games, Amnesia: The Dark Descent.

The map features nearly all of the puzzles, story elements and encounters present in Amnesia. (Excluding monsters.) It took me around 12 weeks to build it, with the help of my brother.

    UPDATE 1.8:

    Justine

The gloomy space downstairs became a playground, a mysterious place for Justine and her friends to discover...

Amnesia: Justine is a DLC released by Frictional Games. Now, Minecraft: Justine is a new adventure map built inside Minecraft: The Dark Descent. There is a narrow hallway in the beginning of the map that leads you to Justine.

To install just extract the contents of the .zip to .minecraft/saves folder. (Make sure that the actual save folder is not inside the Folder you extracted.)

    - This map should provide 2 hours of playing time on average, depending on whetever or not you have played Amnesia before.

    Rules

#1 Do not break any blocks except for torches.

#2 You can place anything given to you.

#3 Play on hard difficulty mode.

    #4 Play with tiny fog.

#5 Do not pick up keys after using them to open doors.

Also, if you enjoyed this map, you might also like my other map as well.

Very beautiful and well made from the looks of things. Could only be improved with a texture pack.

I get your suggestion for playing peaceful (no weapons to stop creepers blowing things up would be a pain). But to really represent Amnesia it needs mobs, otherwise it'll be less scary. You could maybe have Penumbra style rules and allow minimal use of weaponry. But I guess it's down to the user.

I agree, but the map is really dark, and torches are scarce so spawning would get out of control pretty fast. It is possible to fix though, and i have been thinking of building systems that would trigger zombies to fall from the ceiling at certain places in the map. And the lantern could be a diamond sword.

If you could work that out I think it would probably be amazing. It looks like a great map regardless though.

I'm with countevil on this one. A texture pack would do wonders for the atmosphere.
