Dwarven Race in Skyrim
The following link is to a mod for Skyrim that adds Dwarves (Dwemer) to the playable race list! Definitely something to look at!

1. Download mod
2. Paste files in your data folder located in c
rogram files/steam/steamapps/common/skyrim/data Overwrite any file it asks you to.
3. Go to the Skyrim launcher, select data files, activate the mod, boom Dwemer in Skyrim!

I understand that the Dwemer were actually pretty much Elves. But I was hoping actual Dwarfs

The Dwemer are pretty ****e in comparison to the Germanic/Tolkein school of Dwarves. I want a full expansion pack with PROPER Dwarves from Bethesda NOW!

Actually, dwarves in mythology are often considered synonymous with dark elves (or svartįlfr), so Bethesda isn't completely out of bounds. Of course, elves of mythology differs widely from elves of modern fantasy so Bethesda is still wrong.
Though, I do think that Bethesda are a bit sneaky when they're trying to pass of a stereotypically elfish race as dwarves. But it's no different than Blizzard making their trolls Jamaicans.
