    The Yogscast Game

In one of the older episodes, Simon and Lewis talked about a potential Yogpod video game. Sure enough, I found some 10 minutes of free time and put a quick game together from unused (read: buggy) code from some other games I had been working on with some pictures that have been borrowed (read: stolen) with the Google Image search.

Unfortunately I didn't do a lot of bugtesting and it crashes every once in a while. However, I promise to make a proper game some time in the future, perhaps even as a flash game, so even people without Windows can enjoy Simons Jaffa-Cake-Collecting adventures.

Have fun and post your highscore!

    FAQ:

    Q: Crashes on startup!
A: You might have DEP (Data Execution Prevention) enabled in windows. Add the main.exe to the exeptions. (Find instructions how on google).

    Q: Still doesn't work!
A: I made this in 10 minutes, sorry. Maybe when I make a proper game!

    Best regards

What software are you using to create this? Microsoft visual Studio and XNA are quite good for making games. It would also help with your transparancy issues on the jaffacakes. Fusuia is a transparent colour in Visual Stusio *nerd face*
Spreading the durp wherever I may be

    1. You start the .exe and use arrow keys and space
    2. Sorry, nope. It's windows only at the moment!

I am using the Acknex game engine (http://acknex.com/) I was thinking about trying out XNA but since this was intended as a 10 minute project, I just went with what I already knew.

There are no transparency issues, I was just too lazy to make an alpha channel for the jaffa cake so I just used the entire picture with background and all

I updated the links in the OP with dropbox since my old server is currently down. Have fun, those who didn't get to enjoy it in the time while it was down
