when i download tekkit from the technic website it downloads but i dont have tekkit like what the yogscast have i get tekkit lite and tekkit classic and volts but not tekkit what should i do and the sphax mod wont work it just makes it into a zipped file not that coloured block that everybody else has what should i do

They've changed the Technic Launcher recently. The one the Yogscast play is Tekkit Classic.
And is the coloured block you're talking about like a pile of books? That's the Winrar logo, you can download a trial of Winrar to alllow you to install mods intominecraft.jar but for a texture pack like sphax you just need to put it in your texture pack folder in the Tekkit classic folder.

As Cobbleface pointed out the Yogscast is using "Tekkit Classic" which is indeed the same as "Tekkit" just a new name.
