im using NVIDIA GeForce GTX 590, it run games smooth , i play Cod:BO , just cause 2 , Crysis 2 , minecraft , and etc with very nice FPS , especially minecraft with best performance and best setting with render distance very far , it can run minecraft with 520 Fps - 560 Fps . and the other games like Portal 2 has 90-150 fps .

Right now I'm using the AMD Radeon HD 6570. Runs all of the games I've put it through quite well, but I usually just have to bring down the resolution a bit to get the smoothest FPS. I get around 100-120 FPS in Minecraft (Max settings), and mostly everything else runs smoothly.

I use an overclocked MSI 460 GTX Hawk, runs pretty much any game on almost max and minecraft on about 700 fps

What? You're surprised? The GTX 590 is the most powerful GPU in the world as of now.

Or is that too low for you? XD

I get 320FPS in minecraft with the EVGA GTX470 SSC.
I also think its got more to do with the CPU you have rather than the GPU. For example, i only got a 2 FPS increase when i went from a Gigabyte GTX260 Overclocked to the EVGA card.

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4500 Series with 2280 Mb of memory.

Not the best one out there but it gets me by. I didn't buy my laptop exclusively for gaming so having a powerful video card was not my biggest priority.

I have the ATI HD4870 X2, its a dual core card with 2 gb gddr5 memory.
it plays all games smooth as a baby's but.

ATi HD 6750 on my laptop.

Its okay I guess, I dunno I play Starcraft 2 and that game eats up any computer hardware. I want a pair of 580 SLI on my desktop but its kind of a waste of money .__.

Nvidia 280 GTX atm. Still runs most things fine.

Thinking of upgrading. So many options. I'm tempted to go for a 580 GTX but could SLI cheaper cards for more speed in many situations. Could make whole new system too. An overclocked i7-2600K is tempting.

Hmmm.

I have a gigabyte 460 1gb. Do take note. It's not just the graphics card that makes a difference. More cpu intensive for games such as minecraft.

What CPU do you have because those are terrible frame rates for that card?

ymmm , that because the old ram its for like 4 years old ram , and i upgrade the old to new from 4gb to 8gb and it run faster than before , like 450-520 fps now

Except that its a 460.

it is however clocked at 894Mhz, with a CPU at 4.2Ghz I'm pretty much nowhere bottlenecked

A 590 can probably run Minecraft close to 1000fps, I have a 460 and I can get 600fps, you probably have your graphics settings on power saver which will cap the FPS. Also 4GB RAM is more than enough to run Minecraft at ridiculous framerates as I've never seen my copy use over 1GB of memory, it pains me when someone who doesn't understand computers has better hardware than me...

I have a GTX 570. So far I haven't come across a game that I can't max out at 1080p while still running smoothly, except for the Witcher 2. If I have ubersampling on the game gets a bit choppy.

Not a game I have come across that I cannot run in full detail.

Yeah Minecraft is mostly processor intensive, so a quad or six core 3.2ghz+ processor will yield high fps of around 700 or more, ideally coupled with a graphics card similar to my GTX460 :)

So once i started i go with mine, im using a onboard Geforce 6100 (yes i know tits most awful thing you can get) but im still saving money and will get a new rig once i get enough money saved xP

I'm using a Radeon HD 6950 (MSI-branded, Twin Frozr II fans, 2048MB VRAM). I run pretty much every game on max settings and get a smooth >60FPS in almost all games. I try to force AT LEAST 4x SuperSampling on every game I play (With the exception of Minecraft), but most games I play on 8xSSAA. I get ~200FPS on Minecraft at full settings. I'm using an Intel i5 2500k quad-core processor @4.0Ghz if anyone was wondering too. :3

I use two ASUS 6970s, which is, in reality, around eight GB of physical video RAM, and works beautifully with the rig I have. I've yet to find a game that I do not get at least 90FPS in with everything maxed out. Some games, such as Minecraft, go off the charts FPS wise for me. I'll get like 600FPS with the render view on far. I'll probably be posting up on the "post pics and specs of your rig" threads when I get my new desk, but to follow the previous poster I've an AMD Phenom II 6X 1100GT which is overclocked to 4.1GHz on an ASUS Crosshair V formula. My computer scares me sometimes.

at the moment im using my shitty laptop but im raising money to build my new computer and im gonna have the Sapphire Radeon HD 6850, mainly due to its amazing performance and value for money. But once ive got enough money in the future, or maybe ask for it for christmas, then im going to get the GTX 580 cos its ooze worthy :P

You seem to be nerding out too much. You've just bought a Graphics Card that costs $700-800 and 8GB of RAM. 60FPS is AS HIGH as you need to go in ANY game. Your eyes cannot see 1000FPS, 600FPS, 300FPS, etc. Your eyes can only make out 30FPS, but for a game like Minecraft, if you're playing at 30, it'll look like 80FPS because the terrain is similar. So why you're trying to get as high a FPS as possible on a game like Minecraft is a very big waste of money. Especially considering you're already getting 90FPS from Crysis 2 max settings. You don't need to go higher. Seriously; calm down.

A more related post now:

I have a PNY GTX570 PE. And for some reason I've got 70FPS on 1080p, max settings on Minecraft. (I'm only using this as a BENCHMARK) I am confused. How come all of you get 700FPS and I'm getting 70FPS? Now, again, I'm afraid I'm being bottlenecked, but it has already been concluded that I'm not, so wtf.

If any of you can help describe, here are my specs:

AMD Phenom II X4 940 OC 3.4Ghz
AMD 790X Motherboard
6GB DDR2 1800Mhz RAM
750W Power Supply
(No cooler, but temps are just fine)

I get this on a frankly rather old build.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600

Tsk tsk tsk. Don't you people know you can't tell the difference beyond 60-80 FPS?
I use ATI Radeon HD 5670, Minecraft is about 100-120 with max settings and the more demanding mods like Mo' Creatures and Millenaire.
I play Sims 3 at about 300 fps
Darksiders - 120 fps (Minecraft is as demanding as Darksiders? o_o)
I play all Valve games at about 120 as well.
Apparently, I'm able to play Crysis 2 with way beyond recommended settings, but I'm too lazy to download the demo and see how well it does.
Vindictus also does great.

I have a BFG Tech GTX280
I always lock V sync so the GFX card is locked to the Monitors frame rate. So max FPS is 80. Which is ok as the human eye cant tell the difference between 60 and 600 fps. This also allows me to have max gfx settings on everything I currently play. As the card isn't wasting time generating frames I cannot see, it is using that time to make each frame very pretty.

I notice no one has added a screen grab to back up their fps claims? You should all know the golden rule of boasting. 'Pic's or it never happened'. :D

Im using a NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 overclocked, all the games i play run smothly and fps for most games are more then enough. My only prob is that i need to upgrade my Ram for 3GB to somewhere around 6 or 8, but it handles every game very smoothly :)

Because it's quite intensive on your hardware. And if they're boasting 700FPS, then it's obvious that you want evidence.

Because while it does have simple graphics, it's a very large world and from what I know the coding/memory usage is poor.
